A famous analyst revealed the color options that Apple is considering for its upcoming iPhone 18 Pro and foldable iPhone Fold lineups. Red fans will be happy with this news, but not if they’re looking forward to Apple’s first ever foldable phone.
In his latest Power On newsletter, Bloomberg analyst Mark Gurman once again shed light on the color options that Apple’s upcoming flagship phones, the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Fold lineup, are expected to feature.
According to his sources, it appears that a shade of dark red will be the main color choice for this year’s iPhone 18 Pro lineup. Last year’s Cosmic Orange color appears to have helped drive sales of the smartphone, despite concerns about longevity. China is one of the most important markets for iPhones, and it seems that the orange color mentioned above has performed very well there.
If the iPhone 18 Pro arrives in red, it will be the first time a flagship iPhone has worn red in nearly a decade. It’s not clear if it will be a Product Red version, but given that Apple has also tested brown and purplish variants of the rumored red, this seems quite unlikely.
As for the highly anticipated foldable iPhone, which will likely be called the iPhone Fold, Mark claims that Apple has decided not to use fun colors for the flagship foldable phone, and instead stick to the tried and tested grey, black, white and silver color options. This is understandable, but people who prefer bright colors will definitely be disappointed if this turns out to be true.
Both of the high-end iPhones discussed above are still more than half a year away, leaving room for changes in the future. For now, iPhone fans will only have to look forward to the iPhone 17e, which is expected to arrive early next month with plenty of new features.
