Yuliphone announced the prototype of its RageOne X Snap7 Pro smartphone, the first of its phones to feature a detachable action camera. The phone features a 6.67-inch display, a 9,000 mAh battery, and a 64-megapixel night vision camera.
Yulifone is teasing its 6.67-inch RAGOne The prototype runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 8400 processing chip that supports 5G networks, and comes with a 50-megapixel main camera, a 64-megapixel night vision camera, and a 9,000 mAh battery. The company highlights the detachable magnetic action camera as a key selling point, but it’s not clear whether the action camera is the 50-megapixel main camera or a secondary camera.
Not many details have been revealed yet, but Yuli Phone points out that the action camera is about the size of a thumb. This suggests it has a small battery with a limited runtime, perhaps shorter than the half-hour runtime of the Insta360 Go 3S mini action camera unit, though there will be an ecosystem of magnetic mounting accessories available, which hopefully includes one with an external battery module.
The 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate is used as a remote monitor when shooting with an action camera, but the company has not revealed whether it will release a sturdy stand for the phone.
