An improved image of the upcoming Sony Xperia 1 VIII phone appeared through a group of protective designs last week, revealing a boldly redesigned camera island and a screen that contains a hole for the selfie camera.
Now, we’ve gotten an updated CAD look that once again confirms the previously leaked design.
The second source shows a square-shaped camera island that includes three sensors, a design reminiscent of the design of the OnePlus 10 Pro, emphasizing that these are just preliminary designs and not the final version of the phone. However, the repetition of a second source for the same backend design suggests that these leaks are likely accurate.

The new images also show the front side of the device with moderate edges and a front camera integrated into the upper part, in addition to stereo speakers, which is a difference from the previous images that showed a small hole in the screen for the selfie camera.
The latest rumors suggest that the Xperia 1 VIII will come with a triple camera setup of 48MP each. The ultra-wide camera will remain the same as on the Xperia 1 VII, while the main and telephoto camera modules are expected to get improvements including a larger main sensor and a new telephoto sensor with a size ranging from 1/3 to 1/2 inch.
