Xiaomi has now launched a new smartwatch powered by Wear OS. Available globally, the smartwatch features a bright AMOLED display, dual-band location services, and up to 6 days of battery life from its 930mAh battery in smartwatch mode. The Xiaomi Watch 5 is also available in two colors.

Xiaomi has returned to the smartwatch field with a global version of the Watch 5. As a reminder, the Watch 5 appeared for the first time at the end of last year in China with the Xiaomi 17 Ultra phone. Two months later, the Watch 5 gained access to WearOS 6.

As a result, the Watch 5 competes directly with watches like the Pixel Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 8 (currently available for $318 on Amazon). To achieve this, Xiaomi has equipped the watch with a 1.54-inch AMOLED screen protected by sapphire glass. The Watch 5 also features a 930 mAh battery that works with a first-generation Snapdragon W5 processor and a BES 2800 coprocessor to achieve a battery life of up to 6 days.

Moreover, the Watch 5 offers a one-click health check feature that can provide an overview of blood oxygen levels, stress, heart rate and sleep duration within 60 seconds. Additionally, the smartwatch leverages dual-band GPS navigation satellite positioning services for use with pre-installed workout modes.

The Watch 5 will be available globally in two color options. While Xiaomi sells the smartwatch in multiple finishes across China, the rest of the world has only received the juniper green and black versions. Both versions retail for €299 (about $353) and will come with a 6.5-liter air fryer, Buds 5, or a Mini Massage Gun 2 upon order before the end of March 9.
