Dr. Mostafa Madbouly said, Prime MinisterThe government hopes that the ongoing war between the United States and Iran will end as soon as possible, in order to avoid the need to activate any exceptional scenarios that the country may be forced to put in place to face the repercussions of the continuation of the conflict.

The Prime Minister explained during a press conference in the New Administrative Capital that the government is closely following regional and international developments resulting from the war, noting that the continuation of the conflict may impose pressure on energy and basic commodity prices, which requires early preparation to confront any potential impacts.

Madbouly pointed out that the state has been developing several scenarios and strategies for months to deal with various eventualities, ensuring the stability of local markets and maintaining food and economic security, stressing that these scenarios were designed to be proactive and not reactive to events.

The Prime Minister added that the government is working to secure all vital sectors of energy, food, and basic commodities, to ensure their continued provision to citizens without being affected by international developments, explaining that the state has the ability to manage any crisis that may arise as a result of the continuation of the war.

Madbouly concluded his statements by emphasizing that Egypt is anticipating an imminent breakthrough in the war, expressing the government’s hope that this will allow the pressure on the economy and local markets to be eased, and to prevent the need to activate any exceptional measures, which reflects the state’s keenness to protect citizens and maintain the stability of the national economy.
