Tunisian Khalil Ben Youssef, coach of the Kaizer Chiefs team, explained that he believes that the team’s goal is… Zamalek In today’s match between the two teams in the African Confederation Cup, there was a foul and the referee did not count it.

The match between Zamalek and Kaizer Chiefs was decided in a positive draw with a score of 1-1, as part of the second round of the group stage of the African Confederation Cup.

Statements of the Kaizer Chiefs coach

Ben Youssef said in television statements: Zamalek’s goal today came from a clear error, but the referee did not award it, and also Al-Abyad deserved a penalty kick and it was not awarded.

He continued: African arbitration has many mistakes and it is necessary to apply the VAR technology. We also followed what happened in the match between Al-Ahly and the Royal Army in the African Champions League, and therefore the technology must be applied in the group stage.

He added: Zamalek players also deliberately fell and wasted a lot of time in front of us, and there were also violent interventions from them that the referee did not count, and we lost our most important and best player in the recent period, which is Sereno, because of an intervention on him.

In another context, he said: We expected Zamalek’s complete formation today, with the exception of the goalkeeper. We expected Mohamed Awad to participate, as happened in previous matches.

He continued: It was a surprise to us when we found Mohamed Sobhi was the one warming up and completely excluding Awad from the match, but we dealt with the matter.

He concluded: We did not expect our goal to come from this mistake by Sobhi, but it is possible. He may have misjudged the ball, and our goalkeeper also made a mistake in the ball for Zamalek’s goal, and this happens naturally.
