A source inside the club revealed to Cairo 24 that the recent period witnessed intense communications and negotiations between Zamalek officials and the player, in an attempt to contain the crisis and reach an amicable solution that would ensure Mossadeq’s return to regular team training.
The source explained that the club’s management offered the player to pay his current and late financial dues like the rest of the players, in addition to providing clear guarantees regarding the regular disbursement of the remaining dues during the coming period.
The source added that Zamalek officials promised the player to give him a technical role with the team in the next stage, stressing their confidence in his abilities and their desire to benefit from him, especially in light of the numerical shortage that the team is suffering from in the defense line during the current period.
The source pointed out that the recent moves to return the player are not only related to technical aspects, but also come within the framework of the club’s endeavor to avoid bearing the full value of the player’s contract if he continues to terminate the contract, which may cost Zamalek’s treasury large sums of money in light of the financial crises that the club is going through.
He explained that the return of Salah Mosaddeq and his regular presence with the team may later open the door to his departure in an official and organized manner through the club, if he does not continue technically, instead of unilaterally terminating the contract and the financial and legal obligations that result from it.
The source concluded his statements by emphasizing that the attempts have not been crowned with success so far, in light of the state of anger that controls the player due to what he described as the ill-treatment he was subjected to during his time with the team, in addition to his feeling of being ignored and not being dealt with optimally during the crisis of his complaint and termination of the contract.
