The runoff round for the first phase of the House of Representatives elections will begin today, Saturday, within 3 districts in the governorate Aswanover the course of January 3 and 4.

The readiness of the electoral committees’ headquarters to receive voters

Major General Dr. Ismail Kamal, Governor of Aswan, announced the readiness of all electoral committee headquarters to receive voters in the Aswan, Nasr al-Nuba, and Edfu constituencies, with a total of 152 sub-committees. The first district in the Aswan Center includes 54 sub-committees, with a voting capacity of 417,851 male and female voters, while the third district in Nasr al-Nuba includes 43 sub-committees, with a total voting capacity of 81,745 male and female voters, while the district includes 81,745 male and female voters. The fourth, Edfu Center, has 55 subcommittees with a total voting capacity of 337,135 male and female voters.

The Governor of Aswan directed the heads of centers and cities to intensify efforts in front of the committee headquarters to create the appropriate atmosphere for voters to cast their votes by completing the administrative and technical equipment, and providing wheelchairs for the elderly and people with special needs, with a focus on implementing public hygiene work, and raising the efficiency of public restrooms and public facilities such as electricity, drinking water, sanitation, and other tasks and responsibilities to ensure the success of the electoral process and to appear in an honorable manner that befits the flower of the south.

It should be noted that the Governor of Aswan decided to consider Saturday and Sunday a holiday for students of schools within which the headquarters of the parliamentary election committees are located, assigning the Director General of the Directorate of Education to prepare flexible schedules and study compensation plans with regard to revisions for various subjects, while taking the necessary measures in the event that there are exams for the years of transfer in the schools in which the holiday will be implemented.
