Penalty: 25% deduction from Al-Ahly players’ salaries

Al-Khatib officially decided to deduct 30% of the first team players’ salaries and suspend 25% of the value of their contracts, until the team’s position on competing for the league and African Champions League championships is decided.

According to what the source said in exclusive statements to Cairo 24, the 25% discount on Al-Ahly players’ contracts depends on the position of the African Champions League and Premier League for the current season.

The source added his statements that if the red team succeeds in winning both championships, the penalty will be canceled completely, but if they lose either of them, half of its value will be deducted, and the other half will be disbursed if the team wins any of the two championships.

Al-Ahly had fallen into the trap of defeat at the hands of its counterpart Talaea El Gaish in the postponed match of the fifteenth round of the Premier League competition, which brought them together last Monday evening.

Al-Ahly is linked to a decisive stage during the current season, as it is initially linked to playing two decisive matches against its Tunisian counterpart, Esperance, in the quarter-finals of the African Champions League, where the first leg will be held on March 15, while the return match will be held on the 21st of the same month.

Al-Ahly is also awaiting the beginning of next April, to participate in the decisive stage of the Premier League competition, at which time the title-deciding stage competitions for the current season will begin, after the Red Team occupied third place in the ranking table after the end of the first stage of the local competition.
