A video clip circulated on social media during the past hours topped the trend lists, after it documented the moment a woman driving collided car with the door of another car parked on the side of the road, in an incident that sparked widespread controversy among Facebook users about who was responsible for the error.

The video, which was widely circulated, showed the moment the door of a parked car suddenly opened, before it was hit by a car driven by a woman who was passing on the road, causing confusion and causing the two vehicles to stop for seconds after the accident.
The opinions of social media users were divided about the incident. One team believed that the fault fell on the owner of the parked car because he opened the door without ensuring that the road was clear, while others considered that the woman driving the car was not driving with sufficient caution to allow her to avoid the collision.
The video brought back to the forefront the recurring debate about women driving cars, as some users took advantage of the incident to criticize women’s driving in general, and considered it unsafe, which in return was met with widespread rejection by others who stressed that accidents are not related to the gender of the driver, but rather to adherence to traffic rules.
