The agency quoted the mayor of the villages of Abdin and Ma’ria, Muwafaq Mahmoud, as saying that the Israeli forces advanced at dawn between the two villages and set up a temporary checkpoint at the divider point, which caused a state of anxiety among the residents and restricted movement of movement.
This incursion comes in the context of repeated Israeli ground incursions into the western countryside of Daraa, which are often accompanied by the establishment of military checkpoints aimed at restricting the daily lives of residents, according to what Syrian official sources confirm.
On December 6, Israeli artillery bombed an abandoned military site north of the village of Jamla in the Yarmouk Basin area, without recording any casualties.
On Sunday, the Israeli occupation army escalated its operations by carrying out three separate incursions in the vicinity of Quneitra Governorate, southwestern Syria, which raised the number of Israeli raids and incursions since the beginning of the month to 43 operations, some of which included arrests, according to a tally by Anadolu Agency.
