Croatian Kronoslav Jurcic, coach of the first football team at Pyramids Club, spoke about his team’s loss to its Brazilian counterpart Flamengo, which brought together both teams for the Challenge Cup in the semi-finals of the 2025 Intercontinental Cup.

The Pyramids coach said in television statements after the match: A very difficult confrontation, and we faced a team that plays very distinctive football.
He added: We wanted to score, but this is football and we have to move forward, and we scored from two set pieces.
The match between Pyramids and Brazilian Flamengo, which brought together both teams on the ground of Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium in Doha, ended a short while ago, for the Challenge Cup tournament in the semi-finals of the 2025 Intercontinental Cup.
The first football team of the Brazilian Flamengo club, as a result of its match against the Pyramids team, won by two unanswered goals, to win the Challenge Cup title in the Intercontinental Cup competitions.
With this result, the first football team of the Brazilian club Flamengo won the Challenge Cup title at the expense of Pyramids and secured $4 million, in addition to qualifying for the final match to face Paris Saint-Germain for the 2025 Intercontinental Cup title.
