The Senegalese Football Federation issued an official statement attacking Morocco for poor organization in the capital, Rabat, before the start of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final match.
We did not receive any notification about the training location.. The Senegalese Federation criticizes Morocco’s organization before the African Nations final

The Federation stated in its official statement: The Senegalese Football Federation would like to inform the national and international public, as well as the organizing bodies, of its serious concerns regarding several problems observed during the preparations for the African Cup of Nations final. In the interest of transparency and defending the interests of the Senegalese national team, the Senegalese Football Federation would like to clarify the following points.
The Union enumerated in its statement:
1. Security and reception arrangements
The Senegalese Football Federation expresses its deep regret at the absence of adequate security measures upon the arrival of the Senegalese delegation to Rabat train station. This lack has exposed the players and technical staff to overcrowding, which is not commensurate with the standards of a tournament of this size and the status of a continental final.
2. Establishment of the national team
Regarding hotel arrangements, the Senegal Football Federation reported that it was necessary to submit a formal written protest to obtain a positive result, and subsequently, a five-star hotel was allocated to the national team, ensuring the necessary conditions for recovery.
3. Inspection of the training site and playing field
The Senegalese Football Federation has officially informed the Confederation of African Football (CAF) of its categorical refusal to hold its training at the Mohammed VI Complex. This decision is based on the fact that these facilities serve as the training camp of the opposing team, which raises questions about the integrity of the sporting competition. Moreover, the Senegalese Federation explains that it has not yet received any notification regarding the training location of the Senegalese national team.
4. Tickets and stadium entry
Regarding tickets, the situation remains worrying, and the Senegalese Football Federation would like to clarify that the official quota is limited to only two VIP tickets, and regrets that it is not possible to purchase VIP and Premium VIP tickets, as was the case during the semi-finals.
However, the Federation was able to purchase tickets for its fans, within the maximum limits officially allowed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF): 300 tickets in the first category, 850 tickets in the second category, and 1,700 tickets in the third category. The Senegalese Football Federation confirms that these quantities, although fully met, are still insufficient given the demand, and denounces the imposed restrictions that harm the Senegalese public.
The Senegalese Football Federation calls on the Confederation of African Football and the Local Organizing Committee to take all immediate corrective measures to ensure respect for the principles of fair play, equal treatment and security, which are fundamental to the success of this celebration of African football.
