Cairo University, headed by Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadiq, announced the opening of registration to participate in the second edition of the Entrepreneurship Summit at Cairo University, scheduled to be held on February 10 at the main campus, within the framework of the Egyptian state’s support for the innovation and entrepreneurship system, and under the patronage of Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The summit comes in the context of accepting the “Entrepreneurial University” alliance within the presidential competitive initiative “Alliance and Development,” which reflects the national trend towards supporting innovation and enhancing the role of universities as a major driver of sustainable economic development, especially in the fields of artificial intelligence and the digital economy.

Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadiq, President of Cairo University, stressed that the university places innovation and entrepreneurship at the top of its national priorities, noting that the summit represents a strategic platform for linking scientific research with economic reality, and enabling young people to transform their ideas into influential projects.

The university president added that Cairo University believes that entrepreneurship has become one of the most important development paths in the new republic, and it seeks through the summit to create a stimulating environment for innovation within the university, and to support our students and graduates to be pioneers in the fields of the digital economy and modern technology, in line with the Egyptian state’s vision towards a knowledge-based future.

For her part, Dr. Ghada Abdel Bari, Advisor to the University President for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, explained that the summit brings together decision makers, entrepreneurs, investors and emerging companies in an integrated experience aimed at enhancing growth opportunities and building effective partnerships between the university and the business sector.

She added that this year’s edition of the Entrepreneurship Summit comes with a new spirit and a rich program of dialogue sessions and an accompanying exhibition for emerging and growing companies, and our primary goal is to empower young people and link innovative ideas with investment opportunities, which contributes to building an entrepreneurial university community capable of competing regionally and internationally.

The second edition of the summit will witness the presence of national leaders, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and representatives of emerging companies, through an integrated program that includes specialized sessions and discussions about the future of entrepreneurship, in addition to an exhibition of emerging and growing companies, in a way that enhances integration between universities and the business sector.
