A child’s call for help in Minya
The child’s father said, in exclusive statements to Cairo 24, that his son Abdul Rahman suffers from muscular dystrophy, and that he is going through a long journey of suffering searching for treatment, noting that doctors informed him that the injection needed to treat his son costs about 3 million dollars, and is only available in the United States of America.
He added: My son has no treatment other than this injection, and every day he passes, he is stolen from us, stressing that he appeals to those with compassionate hearts to intervene to help him save his son’s life before it is too late.
The child’s father, Major General Imad Kadwani, appealed to the Governor of Minya to quickly intervene to speed up the procedures for obtaining a pension for his son, explaining that the pension papers have not been finalized yet, despite the difficult health conditions the family is going through.
He explained that his only source of income is daily work in one of the quarries, which is not enough to cover treatment needs or the requirements of life, calling for the intervention of the concerned authorities to provide the necessary support and save his child from this disease.
