The General Meteorological Authority announced details of the weather condition on Sunday, February 1, 2026, in Cairo and some governorates, where there is a slight rise in temperatures in most areas, with values ​​ranging from 1 to 3 degrees.

The authority announced in its statement regarding the expected weather conditions for Greater Cairo and some areas, that there is a slight rise in temperatures in most areas, with values ​​ranging from 1 to 3 degrees, with activity in the winds on areas of the northern coasts, Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the canal cities, central Sinai, the Gulf of Suez, and northern Upper Egypt, which may cause dust and sand on some exposed areas and may lead to a deterioration of horizontal visibility, especially on the northwestern coasts and the Western Desert.

There are also chances of light rain falling on areas of Salloum, Matrouh, and areas of North Upper Egypt and South Sinai, which may extend at a very weak rate, approximately 20%, to areas of Greater Cairo.

Regarding the expected weather conditions during the coming days, the General Meteorological Authority revealed details of the weather conditions from Monday, February 2, 2026 to Friday, February 6, in Cairo and some governorates, where cold weather prevails in the early morning, warm during the day, hot in the north, and cold in the south at night.

Water mist prevails on some roads leading to and from the north of the country as far as Greater Cairo, central Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt, with active winds on Monday, February 2, and Tuesday, February 3, in areas of Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northern coasts, and northern Upper Egypt, which may cause dust and sand.
