The General Authority of Meteorology, General Department of Forecasting and Early Warning, revealed details weather Monday, January 26, 2026, confirming that the country is witnessing warm weather during the daylight hours, accompanied by very cold weather at night and early in the morning in most regions.

According to what was published in an official statement, the authority confirmed the formation of a water mist in the morning until 10 am, extending from the north of the country to Greater Cairo, the canal cities, northern Upper Egypt, and central Sinai, with the possibility of it being dense at times in areas of Lower Egypt and the northwestern coasts.

Regarding maritime navigation, meteorology showed that the Mediterranean Sea is moderate, with waves ranging from 1.5 to 2 metres, while the Red Sea is moderate to turbulent, with waves ranging from 1.5 to 2.5 metres.
Regarding temperatures, the maximum temperature in Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt is 24 degrees Celsius and the minimum is 11 degrees, amid moderate winds with a speed of 22 km/h and a chance of suspended dust forming during the day.
On the northwestern coasts, temperatures reach 21 degrees with a high and 12 with a low, with partly cloudy weather and active winds in the far west that may cause sand and dust in areas of Salloum and Matrouh.
