Today, Monday, Major General Dr. Tariq Hamed Al-Shazly, Governor of Suez, will open the Welcome Ramadan Exhibition, which is located on the Suez Corniche, in cooperation between the Chamber of Commerce and the Directorate of Supply and Internal Trade, as part of the governorate’s preparations to welcome the holy month of Ramadan and ease the burdens on citizens.

The Governor of Suez said, in press statements to Cairo 24, that he directed the executive agencies in the governorate to provide all facilities to merchants and companies participating in the exhibition, while committing to provide real discounts on various goods, in order to achieve the goal of holding the exhibition and directly benefit citizens.

The governor explained that the governorate is striving to prepare for the holy month of Ramadan by intensifying ration campaigns and monitoring markets, to ensure the safety of food and supplies and their suitability for human use, and to prevent any attempts to monopolize or exploit citizens.

Major General Dr. Tariq Hamid Al-Shazly indicated that he stressed during the weekly meeting with the governorate’s leaders the necessity of continuous monitoring of restaurants and hotels, and adherence to health and environmental requirements, in order to preserve public health.

The Governor of Suez added that he directed the intensification of traffic presence on the governorate’s streets, especially at peak times, to achieve traffic fluidity. He also instructed neighborhood heads to prevent encroachments and occupations and to deal immediately with any violations, in a way that contributes to preserving the city’s civilized appearance and facilitating the movement of citizens.
