Dr. Engineer Hossam Abdel Fattah conducted the Governor of Qalyubia, Today, a field tour in the city of Benha to follow up on rainwater suction work, within the framework of the governorate’s keenness to raise the efficiency of the system for dealing with rainwater and ensure traffic flow in all streets and squares, accompanied by Walid Al-Shahawi, President of the City of Benha.

During the tour, the governor stressed the need to intensify the efforts of executive agencies and drinking water and sanitation companies, to provide the necessary equipment and quickly complete water suction work, especially in vital areas and tunnels, to prevent any accumulations that may hinder the movement of citizens or vehicles.
The governor inspected a number of tunnels in the city of Benha, where the tour included passing through the Martyr Abdullah Naguib Tunnel, the Statue Tunnel, and the College of Science Tunnel, to ensure the efficiency of the water suction work and the absence of any accumulations that hinder traffic or the movement of citizens, directing the immediate response to any accumulations that may appear.
The governor also directed the necessity of continuous follow-up around the clock and dealing immediately with any water accumulations, with an emphasis on reviewing the efficiency of drains and ensuring that they are ready to absorb the quantities of water, in order to ensure that accumulations do not recur.
The Governor of Qalyubia stressed the importance of full coordination between all concerned parties, and working as one team to confront the repercussions of unstable weather, in order to preserve the safety of citizens and achieve traffic fluidity.
