The official poster for the series Shepherd’s childrenwhich is scheduled to be shown during the Ramadan 2026 series season, caused controversy on social media, after the audience noticed a strong similarity between it and the poster of the Turkish series, Dream Ashraf.
There is a great similarity between the poster for the Shepherd’s Sons by Majed Al-Masry and the poster for the famous Turkish series “Helm Ashraf” by Çağatay Ulusoy.
A number of followers wondered about the similarity of the story of the two series, and whether the new work carries an idea or events similar to the Turkish series, amid anticipation to know the official details from the series’ makers before the episodes are shown.

The series “Children of the Shepherd” includes a large group of stars alongside Majed Al-Masry, including Amal Bouchoucha, Khaled Al-Sawy, Ahmed Eid, Ihab Fahmy, Enas Kamel, Sandy Mourad, Fadia Abdel-Ghani, Nolia Mostafa, Nermin Al-Feki, and the work reveals the hidden side in the struggle of businessmen.

The events of the Ashraf Dream series took place in a romantic context. The wealthy and reckless businessman Ashraf falls in love with Roya, who he has been searching for a person like her all his life, but what he does not know is that she is working against him with the police.
The work included a number of artists, most notably the artist Çağatay Ulusoy, Demet Ozdemir, Najib Memeli, Tolga Tekin, Ahmet Rifat Suncar, Bushra Develi, and other artists. The work was directed by Uluk Bayraktar and written by Ethem Ozicek.
