US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the United States is able to achieve its goals in Iran without using any ground forces, despite the recent deployment of additional forces to the region.
The US Secretary of State added that the United States is achieving its goals in the war, which, according to him, is to destroy Iran’s missile and drone capabilities and the factories that produce these weapons, as well as its naval and air forces.
Rubio explained: “We are ahead of schedule on most of these goals, and we can achieve them without any ground forces at all,” according to what was reported by the Reuters news agency.
Rubio points out that the recent deployment of thousands of additional soldiers to the region aims to give US President Donald Trump options to respond to any emergency in the conflict, but he refrains from going into details of the operations.
