A private source within Al-Ahly Club revealed the club’s position on the dismissal of Danish Jes Torop, the coach of the Red Team, after the loss to Tala’ea El-Geish in the Premier League.
Al-Ahly was defeated by its counterpart Talaea El-Geish in the match that brought together the two teams in the Premier League competition.
According to what a private source within Al-Ahly club said, there is no intention to dismiss the Danish Jes Torop after the loss to Talaia El-Geish.
The source explained to Cairo 24 that the team is scheduled to play two decisive matches against Esperance of Tunisia, so it will be difficult to dismiss him at the present time.
The source confirmed that Al-Ahly also does not want to dismiss the coach due to the financial crisis that the Red Team is currently suffering from, in addition to the penalty clause stipulated in the Danish coach’s contract, which requires Al-Ahly to pay the full value of the coach’s contract to him if he is dismissed before the end of the current season. However, if he is dismissed at the end of the season, the club will be obligated to pay only 3 months’ salary to the coach.
Al-Ahly coach Yes Torop took over the leadership of the Red Team last October, succeeding the Spaniard Jose Ribeiro, who was thanked following the loss to Pyramids in the Premier League competition.
