On the evening of the third day of Eid, the journalist, Dr. Amr Al-Laithi, hosted the artist Iyad Nassar, who revealed the most important behind-the-scenes filming of the series “Companions of the Earth” and the suffering that the crew went through to produce the series in the image that made it the most watched in the Ramadan 2026 season.
The journalist Amr Al-Laithi honored the star Iyad Nassar and presented him with the shield of the United Company and Al-Hayat Channel in recognition of his great role in the series “The Companions of the Earth”, which achieved great success. Iyad Nassar expressed his happiness with the honor and his thanks to Dr. Amr Al-Laithi, the United Company and Al-Hayat Channel.
Iyad Nassar said: I am here today as part of a great project, which is the “Companions of the Earth” series, and I was preparing to participate in another series, and as soon as the United Company spoke to me and read the paper, I immediately agreed, and we began to think about starting the series from any angle, and this is a great work, and the idea of producing a work about the Gaza War, so all thanks to the producing company.
He added: We began sessions with director Peter Mimi, and the language of the series came to address the world in its own way. After the events of October 7, Israel produced two works, and we began working on an idea that speaks about our people in Palestine, “the owners of the land,” and I believe that it succeeded globally when foreign media talked about the work.
Iyad added: The decision by the United Company to bring this work to light is an important decision in producing a work that discusses the Palestinian issue and the tragedy of our people in Gaza. The basics were presented more with their vision, and we had our vision for this work, and it succeeded and had an important reaction internally and in the entire world.
He explained that he prepared to present a character that would fit reality and be close to the truth, as he said: I had many feelings and great sadness inside me for what happened to this great people and the injustice they were subjected to, and they wanted life, and the reactions were positive from critics and audiences, and the character of Nasser I prepared well for so that I could live everything and feel for them, and the series achieved public and critical success, and there were mixed reactions, and as soon as the work came to light, it gained admiration and respect from everyone, and the message of the series was that the Palestinian people love life and want to live, and we showed that in the events of the series.
He added: The series was prepared in a very strong way and with high capabilities, and all obstacles were overcome and a distinct decor was suitable for the events, and we presented, to the best of our ability, something real that expresses the tragedy of the Palestinian people.
Iyad Nassar also talked about his reaction to the great interaction from the audience and critics, which was amazing, and that the project reached globally, and there was an international press that wrote about the series.
Iyad Nassar also revealed the scenes of destruction that we saw in the series, saying: The place in which we were filming was as if it was the same place, and the decor was huge and suited to the scenes of destruction, and it was also a great challenge for the director of photography that the bricks came out in this gray color, and he said that they were real, and he added that people wanted to live, not die, and even after the end of filming, I was still suffering from the scenes and destruction that our people were exposed to in Gaza, and there was a state of creativity among all the elements of the work, including production, photography, acting and directing.
