Ibrahim Al-Haddad, a member of the Vegetables and Fruits Division at the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, confirmed that the price of carrots has fluctuated during the recent period, and that every period has a price, but today’s price in the wholesale market is 12 pounds.

A member of the Vegetables and Fruits Division of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce added, during television statements, that raising prices in the markets is a problem for the retailer, and therefore we ask retailers to set an appropriate profit margin, instead of the large increases that occur in some basic commodities of vegetables and fruits.
He pointed out that the price of tomatoes today is 3 and 4 pounds, and the luxury ones are 5 pounds, and that this price is considered appropriate, and there is more than one commodity witnessing declines, and the price of the commodity decreases with the increase in supply in the markets.
He explained that he demands every merchant to respect God in the citizen, and to sell at a fair price, noting that the prices of goods may change in the event of weather fluctuations, but the market determines the price of goods.
