Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel-Sadiq, President of Cairo University, conducted an inspection tour to check on the progress of the first semester exams for the academic year 2025/2026, which included the faculties of Arts, Economics, Political Science, Commerce, Archeology, Media, and Science, during which he was accompanied by Dr. Ahmed Ragab, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs. About 250,000 male and female students are taking the exams at the various academic levels in all the university’s faculties and institutes, according to the approved time map. From the Supreme Council of Universities, the start and end dates of exams, and the schedules announced by colleges.
During his tour, the President of the University was assured of adherence to the controls for performing exams and taking all measures to ensure the creation of a suitable atmosphere for students within the committees, providing means of comfort, and maintaining the calm and discipline of the committees. He also listened to the opinions and comments of a number of students within the committees about the level of exams and the conditions for conducting them, stressing his keenness to follow up on the regular conduct of exams in the various colleges.
Dr. Muhammad Sami Abdel-Sadiq stressed the need to adhere to the decisions of the University Council regarding exams, which included mechanisms for printing question papers and ensuring their confidentiality, not allowing any student to enter the committees after distributing the papers, prohibiting mobile phones and not carrying any technological means that might expose students to accountability, and the necessity of the presence of specialized professors of academic subjects within the committees to answer students’ inquiries and questions and solve any problem that may arise during exams, in addition to ensuring the work of medical clinics and the presence of doctors and nurses to deal with any emergency, in a way that allows Students can take exams easily.
The President of Cairo University directed the deans and departments of colleges to deal immediately to solve any urgent problem, while fully adhering to all the rules and controls decided by the University Council, and within the framework of the rules set by the Supreme Council of Universities.
In his directives, the President of the University stressed putting the interests of students at the top of priorities, and without any tolerance for any violations that may affect the examination system, with regularity and discipline, stressing the necessity of starting correction work immediately after the end of the examination for each subject, activating the role of the examiners’ committees, and quickly announcing the results after the end of the careful monitoring and review processes.
For his part, Dr. Ahmed Ragab, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, stressed the keenness of the university administration to provide all means of support and comfort to students that enable them to take exams in an appropriate environment characterized by ease and comfort, in addition to preparing special committees for students of determination and the presence of those who help them, stressing the necessity of dealing firmly with any attempts at cheating within the committees.
In a related context, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Saeed, Vice President of Cairo University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, conducted an inspection tour of the Faculty of Arts to ensure the proper conduct and regularity of postgraduate examinations at the Faculty. The Vice President of the University emphasized the implementation of the directives of the university administration by providing all means that create a calm and disciplined examination environment, and adherence to all controls of the examination process established by the University Council.
