Reply Ahmed Megahed, CEO ofCairo International Book Fairbased on what was raised by writer Youssef Zidan regarding the removal of his novel The Travel of Virgins from the exhibition, denying the validity of what was circulated in this regard.
Mujahid confirmed, in a post on his personal page on Facebook, that the novel is located inside the pavilions of the book fair, explaining: On my personal responsibility, this is a picture of the novel from the book fair today, and whoever said that it was removed, please say so.

The executive director of the exhibition explained that the signing of the novel took place inside the pavilion of the publishing house, and not within the official program of the exhibition, indicating that the exhibition management does not have any information to confirm what Youssef Zidane mentioned regarding lifting or banning the novel.
Earlier, the writer and thinker Youssef Zidane announced that his novel, The Travel of Virgins, had been removed from… Cairo International Book FairIn its fifty-seventh session in 2026, which will be held at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in the Fifth Settlement.
