Dr. Osama Raslan, spokesman for the Ministry of Endowments, said that the Ministry decided to raise the rental value of endowment lands, explaining that the difference between the rental value paid by endowment land tenants and the rental value borne by farmers in general has become very huge and is not commensurate with reality.

Endowment spokesman: The new rental price for endowment lands is 10-15% lower than the market.

Raslan explained, during television statements, that the Ministry has formed specialized committees to monitor defect sites and eliminate corruption, noting that the most prominent aspect of this defect was the presence of intermediary rings of illegal profiteers, where some people rent endowment lands at very low prices, without benefiting from them themselves, and then re-rent them to the final farmer or farmer with rental values equivalent to market prices.

Raslan added that the rental value of endowment lands has remained low for many years and is not appropriate for the true value of those lands, stressing that the goal of the Ministry of Endowments is to eliminate corruption and prevent unlawful profiteering from endowment lands by illegal intermediaries.

Raslan stressed that raising the rental values will not harm farmers in any way, explaining that the rental value will be determined according to the market price, provided that it is less than it by between 10 and 15%, which gives tenants of endowment lands an additional advantage.

Raslan stressed that dealing with the Ministry of Endowments regarding leased lands must be direct, without any intermediaries, pointing out that renting endowment lands has additional advantages, and that the new announced rental values are suitable for farmers and take into account their interests.
