Conducted by engineer Karim Badawi Minister of Petroleum Mineral Resources and Mineral Resources made a surprise visit to the control center of the National Natural Gas Network (NATA) at GASCO headquarters, in order to review the actual operational situation of the National Natural Gas Network, and to ensure the regularity of pumping gas supplies through the network to the various consumption sectors, most notably the electricity and industry sectors, in a way that ensures that needs are met in a stable and safe manner.

During the visit, the Minister, along with Engineer Mohamed Marzouk, President of Gasco, and the Center’s work team, followed up on the current gas pumping rates. He also reassured the efficiency of the operational position of the national grid, thanking the Center’s work team for the efficiency of network management and continuous follow-up to secure supplies in light of the current circumstances and the challenges it is witnessing.

The Minister also reviewed the operational preparations and scenarios that had been prepared in advance to deal with any possible variables, as well as to confront the expected increases in consumption rates with the entry of the summer months, thus enhancing the network’s readiness and continuing its ability to secure supplies with high efficiency.

The Minister also reassured that preparations for the natural gas distribution system for domestic and commercial consumption had been completed, in preparation for Eid Al-Fitr and the accompanying seasonal increase in domestic and commercial demand for natural gas.
