Today, the Interpretation Forum at Al-Azhar Mosque continues its weekly interpretation meeting entitled “Manifestations of the Miracle in the Qur’an’s Hadith on the Creation of the Hoopoe,” in the presence of Prof. Dr. Mustafa Ibrahim, Professor at the Faculty of Science, Al-Azhar University, and Prof. Dr. Abdel Shafi Ahmed Ali, Professor of Interpretation at the Faculty of Islamic and Arab Studies at Al-Azhar University, and the dialogue is moderated by Dr. Omar Hashem, Egyptian TV journalist.
Deep thinking about religious texts
Dr. Abdel Moneim Fouad, General Supervisor of Scientific Activities of the Al-Azhar Corridor at Al-Azhar Mosque, said that this forum is an important opportunity to contemplate the verses of the Holy Qur’an, ponder its meanings, and open new areas of research into the miracle, adding that the forum will contribute to enhancing religious and cultural awareness among the participants and calling for deep thinking about religious texts.
For his part, Dr. Hani Odeh, Director General of Al-Azhar Mosque, expressed his happiness at the launch of this forum, stressing the importance of the Qur’anic miracle in shaping the identity of the Islamic nation.
The director of Al-Azhar Mosque said: “The Al-Azhar Corridor always seeks to provide knowledge that contributes to building a conscious and educated society, and the Interpretation Forum is a new step towards achieving this goal,” pointing out that the forum will be held periodically every Sunday, hosting an elite group of specialized scholars and professors, and time will also be allocated for open questions and discussions among the participants, giving them the opportunity to interact and exchange ideas.
