The Director of Al-Azhar Mosque added during the ceremony of distributing prizes for the Holy Quran Memorization Competition for People of Determination: The International Gallery has reached approximately 70 countries around the world, and the number of students in it has reached approximately 5,000 male and female students.
He continued: Today, Al-Azhar continues its pioneering role in memorizing the Holy Qur’an through the Al-Azhari Corridor, as the number of branches of the Al-Azhari Corridor has reached 1,500 branches nationwide, and the number of students has reached nearly a quarter of a million male and female students. The matter is not limited to the Holy Qur’an only, but the fruits of the Al-Azhari Corridor have spread across various fields, as nearly 25 branches have been opened to teach the Islamic and Arabic sciences through authentic curricula that express the moderation of religion. He pointed out that the administration of Al-Azhar Mosque did not neglect to educate young people through scientific and advocacy forums organized by Al-Azhar Mosque in cooperation with various state institutions, led by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, through the Youth Corridor, where the number of events that were held in youth and sports centers reached approximately 3,000 meetings, in addition to the forums that were organized at the headquarters of the Al-Azhar Corridor at the level of the Republic.
