The investigating authorities ordered the renewal of the detention of a worker and his wife for 15 days pending investigations into the incident of accusing them of sexually assaulting a young girl while living with him, as he was the uncle of her deceased father in one of the areas affiliated with the Bandar Qena district.
The beginning came when the security services in the Qena Security Directorate received a notification from the Qena Police Department, stating that a report had been received from a woman accusing a worker and his wife of exploiting her niece and sexually assaulting her in one of the areas affiliated with the Bandar Qena District.

The woman stated in the report that she was the aunt of the victim, who was 14 years old. Her father died years ago and she raised her until the accused, her father’s uncle, who was 45 years old, took her during the recent period because she was studying near his house. He exploited her and sexually assaulted her with the help of his wife in Bandar Qena.
The accused were arrested, a report was drawn up regarding the incident, and the competent authorities were notified, which ordered their detention for 4 days, then renewed for 15 days pending investigations.
