In the village of Kafr Al-Abhar, located in the Nabarouh district of Dakahlia Governorate, no one expected that a legal dispute that had lasted for nearly ten years would end with a tragic scene that shook hearts before the courts of justice shook. A story that began with official papers and names registered in government books, and ended with a lawyer falling from the balcony of a house on the third floor, a few days after Tamkeen’s ruling was implemented in favor of her husband.

The incident, which preoccupied public opinion and sparked a wide wave of controversy on social media, revealed the details of a complex family conflict, in which considerations of the law were mixed with blood ties, and in which the judicial rivalry turned into a bloody confrontation.

4 accused were arrested…and investigations reveal the details

The security services in Dakahlia Governorate arrested four defendants in the case of the murder of lawyer Rasha Farhat, after she was thrown from the balcony of her house in the village of Kafr Al-Abhar.

Investigations revealed that the accused are: Abdulaziz A., Wael A., Hamada A., and Ali A. According to the findings of the security services, disputes arose between the two parties over ownership of the property, which developed into a break-in into the house and assault on the husband, before the lawyer was thrown from the third floor, which resulted in her death as a result of internal bleeding and a fracture of the skull.

A report was prepared on the incident, and the investigating authorities were notified, which began investigations to reveal the circumstances of the incident and provide its full details.

Statement of the Bar Association.. A novel of the last hours

For his part, Muhammad Taha Al-Ghamri, head of the South Dakahlia Bar Association, and Yousry Hamam, a member of the union’s sub-council, revealed in an official statement painful details about the incident.

The statement explained that the victim’s husband was visited at Nabaruh Hospital, where he was receiving treatment after sustaining severe injuries as a result of the assault on him. He confirmed that the incident came after the implementation of an empowerment ruling issued in favor of the husband after a long legal dispute over the house.

The statement indicated that after the sentence was implemented and the house was officially handed over to the husband, a number of his relatives sneaked through the balconies using ladders to reach the property. The lawyer woke up to the sounds of movement, woke up her husband, and tried to call the village mayor for help over the phone, but the assailants broke into the place, assaulted them, and tied her up before throwing her from the third floor.

The union confirmed that it is closely following the investigations, and will not abandon the rights of the late colleague until fair retribution is achieved, noting that the body will not be buried until after the autopsy work is completed and a burial permit is obtained due to the presence of criminal suspicion.

The roots of the crisis: multiple names and a complex inheritance

Ayman Jamal, the cousin of the accused youth, narrated in exclusive statements to “Sada El Balad” that the story goes back to a family consisting of six brothers and two daughters. Five of the brothers were known by the common name in the village, while the sixth brother, husband of the victim lawyer, bore the official name recorded in government papers.

This difference in names, according to his account, was the key to the crisis. The father had two names, one common among the people, and the other official, recorded in the records and the agricultural association.
Under the official name, there were three plots of agricultural land registered, as well as a house standing on one of these plots at the entrance to the village.

Gamal confirmed that the sixth brother had previously sold his share of the property to his older brother with a notarized contract years ago, and moved to live in the city of Mansoura. Over time, the situation settled on this basis, until a legal loophole appeared that reopened the file.

A legal battle that lasted ten years

According to the family’s account, the lawyer, the wife of the sixth brother, began filing lawsuits in 2016, based on the official name registered in the papers, which, according to her interpretation, proves the right of her husband and his two sisters to the inheritance.

For about ten years, the case has been moving between the corridors of the courts. Jamal says that the lawyer “fought in the courts,” relying on what she considered a legal loophole in the issue of different names, until a final ruling was issued allowing her and her husband to move into the house in question.

Empowerment Day…the beginning of the end

On February 12, a force from the Dakahlia Security Directorate and the Nabarouh Police Station went to the village of Kafr Al-Abhar to implement the empowerment ruling. The two-storey house was officially handed over to the lawyer and her husband.

The couple entered the house after years of conflict, in a scene that the other party’s family considered a great shock. According to the cousin’s account, the siblings felt that they had suddenly lost their home and land, especially since some of them had been working outside the country for many years in Lebanon and Saudi Arabia.

Only five days passed between the execution of the sentence and the crime.

Anger escalated…a tragic break-in and explosion

According to investigations by the security services, sharp disputes arose between the two parties over ownership of the property. The crisis developed into a home invasion by a number of family members who objected to the ruling.

During the quarrel, the husband was assaulted, while the lawyer was injured after being thrown from the third-floor balcony, killing her in a shocking incident for the villagers.

Ayman Gamal confirmed that he did not know the details of the last moments, but he indicated that the state of anger and desire for revenge may have been the motive behind what happened, after the other party felt the loss of their property.

Arrest of the accused

Following the incident, the security services intensified their investigations and were able to arrest four defendants in the case. According to the security statement, the accused are: Abdul Aziz Al, Wael A, Hamada A, and Ali A.

They are facing charges of storming the property, assaulting the husband, and causing the lawyer’s death by throwing her from the top of the property.

Investigations are still underway to uncover the full circumstances of the incident, and to determine whether the crime was premeditated or the result of an altercation that developed suddenly.

A family tragedy goes beyond the papers

The story, in its essence, was not just a legal dispute over land and a house, but rather a long family conflict in which relationships were mixed with ownership, and feelings with judicial rulings. While the lawyer saw that she was regaining a legal right for her husband, the other party felt that they were being taken away from a home in which they had lived for many years.

In small villages, disputes are not just court cases, but rather turn into social crises affecting reputation, dignity and belonging. As the conflict drags on, negative feelings accumulate, until one contact is enough to ignite the situation.

Between the law and blood ties… when conflict erupts

This tragedy reveals the seriousness of family disputes when they go beyond the limits of justice into a circle of revenge. Judicial rulings, no matter how controversial they are, remain the legitimate way to resolve disputes. But when feelings interfere with ownership, and self-control is absent, conflict turns into a humanitarian catastrophe.

Today, a family who lost a daughter and a young wife paid with their lives in a long legal struggle. On the other hand, four defendants face an ambiguous judicial fate that may change their lives forever.

A tragedy that cannot be reduced to a judicial ruling

This story was not just a dispute over a house or an explanation for a different name on official papers, but a severe test of family relationships when they crack under the pressure of inheritance and ownership. Years of litigation ended in a moment of anger, and Tamkeen’s ruling turned into a spark that ignited a tragedy that could not be undone.
