President of the Holding Company for Drinking Water: The ground subsidence repair work in Muhammad Zaki Square in the Martyr Axis is almost complete.
The Cairo Water and Sanitation Company is cooperating in carrying out the work to address ground subsidence in the field, as the work is almost complete, in preparation for the complete reopening of the road to traffic.
It is worth noting that in light of the water leakage that was observed on the Al-Shaheed Axis road, drinking water and sewage lines and pipes in the area were examined, and it was found that there were no problems in the networks, and the results of water analyzes also showed that it matched the water present in some creeks in the area.
In this context, a network is being implemented to reduce water levels and discharge it onto the sewage network, as part of an integrated technical solution agreed upon in coordination between the two companies, with the aim of addressing the root causes of the problem and accelerating the pace of work and completing it as soon as possible.
The head of the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Wastewater confirmed the continuation of careful field follow-up and full coordination between the concerned authorities, to ensure the quality of implementation, the speed of returning traffic to normal, and maintaining the efficiency and sustainability of services provided to citizens.
