Dr. Mohamed Hani Ghoneim, Governor of Beni Suef, stressed the importance of continuing to implement cultural convoys and awareness programs aimed at raising the level of community awareness of the population issue and supporting human-building efforts, within the framework of the population strategy adopted by the state, noting that these convoys contribute to developing the skills of young people and enhancing their awareness of development issues, in order to achieve optimal investment in human capital.
This came during the discussion of the report presented by Bilal Habash, Deputy Governor, Chairman of the Human Development Committee, and General Supervisor of the Population Unit at the Governorate’s General Office, regarding following up on the implementation of cultural convoys organized by the General Authority for Culture Palaces in cooperation with the Governorate’s Population Unit, in implementation of the Governor’s mandates and under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed Hanno, Minister of Culture, and within the framework of the state’s efforts to spread culture and arts and support community awareness.
The report explained that the convoys were carried out during the period from November 18 to 30, 2025, in a number of schools in the governorate’s centers, including Belivia Secondary Schools, Barout Secondary Schools, and Riyadh Secondary Schools, through the Beni Suef Culture Branch – Studies and Research Department, with the participation of an elite group of specialists in the cultural, artistic and awareness fields.
The events included a variety of activities, including interactive theater and Tanoura shows, awareness lectures, poetry evenings, and artistic performances, in addition to workshops for discovering and developing talents, craft workshops, and others in the field of electronic marketing, with the aim of supporting the axis of investing in human capital as one of the axes of the population strategy.
The events witnessed the presentation of a lecture entitled “The New Republic and a Great Renaissance,” delivered by Mohammed Al-Behairi, Director of the Population Unit in the governorate, during which he discussed the state’s efforts to achieve comprehensive development through expanding the establishment of new cities, developing infrastructure, and enhancing basic services, stressing that human building represents the basic foundation for achieving this renaissance, and that the population issue is one of the most prominent challenges that require concerted efforts to reduce its negative effects on the development process.
The convoys also included reciting a number of national poems by the poet Jamal Abdel Ali, in addition to implementing an e-marketing workshop presented by Ms. Hajar Hussein, during which she emphasized the importance of young people possessing digital work skills and keeping up with the requirements of the labor market, as well as various artistic and craft workshops in the fields of drawing, literary writing, and Arabic calligraphy, supervised by an elite group of specialists.
