Dr. Jacqueline Azar, Governor of Beheira, inspected the intermediate station in the city of Kafr El Dawar, to follow up on the progress of work and determine the efficiency of operation and compliance with environmental and health requirements.

During the tour, the Governor of Al-Buhaira followed up on the mechanisms of collecting and transporting waste inside the station, stressing the need to fully adhere to occupational safety and health procedures for workers, and to take all necessary measures to reduce any environmental or health impacts, with continuous follow-up of operating work and raising the efficiency of equipment in a way that ensures regular work and achieves the goal of the system.

The governor of Beheira directed Mohamed Btisha, head of the city of Kafr al-Dawwar, and Khaled Menissi, director of integrated waste management, to develop a comprehensive operational plan to raise the level of cleanliness in the city during the three shifts, and to increase the number of workers, in addition to preparing a periodic study of the consumption of equipment and fuel, with an emphasis on the regularity of transporting daily waste to the recycling plant.

The station has an area of ​​2,690 square metres, and includes entry and exit gates, an unloading dock, hook-lift vehicles, a loader, an electric generator, a car wash station, and 10 containers with a capacity of 24 square metres, in addition to a truck scale, a receiving dock, and fire tanks, ensuring efficient operation and work safety.

The station receives about 150 tons of waste daily from the city of Kafr al-Dawwar and its affiliated villages, where it is transported to the waste recycling plant in the Idku Center, which contributes to reducing the accumulation of waste and reducing polluting emissions.
