Imam Ashour, the Egyptian national team midfielder, and his colleague Ahmed Fattouh commented on the reports that circulated that an altercation occurred between them in the team’s final training session, before the match against Zimbabwe in the first round of the African Nations Championship.
In response to a question by a Cairo 24 correspondent regarding the aforementioned incident, Ahmed Fattouh commented, saying: We are sisters, while Imam contented himself with a sarcastic smile, expressing his astonishment at this news.
The match between Egypt and Zimbabwe in the first round of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Group Two ended with the Pharaohs winning 2-1.
With this result, the Egyptian national team was in first place with 3 points, while the Zimbabwe national team was in fourth and last place with no points.
