The security services of the Luxor Security Directorate, represented by the Investigation Unit of the Qurna Police Station on the Western Bank, were able to launch a new successful security strike against drug dealers, by arresting a criminal element in possession of a large quantity of hashish before distributing it to his clients.
Details of the incident
The Luxor Security Directorate received a notification from the Criminal Investigation Department stating that a security force affiliated with the Qurna Center Investigation Unit was able to arrest the so-called “H.H.S.M.”, 26 years old, residing in the village of Al-Dabiya in the Center District, west of Luxor.
The arrest process came after codifying the procedures and obtaining the permission of the Public Prosecution, as confidential information was received indicating that the accused had taken the center’s district as a site to carry out his criminal activity in trafficking in narcotic substances.
Seizures and legal procedures
Upon preventive search of the accused, he was found in possession of 20 pots of narcotic cannabis essence, a white weapon (knife) that he uses to defend his illegal activity, in addition to a sum of money likely to be from the proceeds of the sale, and a mobile phone to communicate with his clients.
When the accused was confronted with the results of the arrest, he admitted to possessing narcotic drugs for the purpose of trafficking, the financial amount from the proceeds of the sale, and the white weapon for self-defense.
A report has been prepared on the incident, and it is being presented to the competent authorities to initiate investigations and take the necessary legal measures.
