Early this morning, the Egyptian Red Crescent launched the “Zad Al-Azza…from Egypt to Gaza” convoy 170, carrying a number of urgent humanitarian aid trucks towards the Gaza Strip, as part of its continuing efforts as a national mechanism for coordinating aid to Gaza.
On its 170th day, the convoy carried about 3,290 tons of comprehensive humanitarian aid, which included more than 1,180 tons of food baskets, about 650 tons of relief materials, and about 1,460 tons of petroleum materials to operate hospitals and vital places in the Strip.

The Egyptian Red Crescent also reinforced the provision of basic winter supplies to mitigate the repercussions of the bad weather witnessed in the Strip, which included: 3,640 pieces of winter clothing, more than 3,930 mattresses, about 3,456 tarpaulins, and more than 1,000 tents to shelter those affected.
In a related context, the Egyptian Red Crescent continued its humanitarian efforts in receiving the 30th batch of wounded, sick and injured Palestinians, arriving and departing, and their companions, and facilitating crossing procedures.
In addition to distributing hot meals, providing heavy clothing and personal care supplies, and distributing a “return bag” to those returning to the Gaza Strip.
The Egyptian Red Crescent has been present on the border since the beginning of the crisis, as the Rafah crossing from the Egyptian side was not closed permanently, and it continued its alertness in all logistical centers, and its continuous efforts to bring in humanitarian and relief aid, which exceeded 800 thousand tons, with the efforts of more than 65 thousand volunteers in the association.
