Ahmed Hassan Drogba, the former Al-Ahly player, confirmed that the competition for the Egyptian League title this season is more intense than previous seasons of the competition.
Drogba said, during an interview with the journalist Mohamed Tariq Ada, presenter of the “Match” program, on the “Sada El Balad” channel, “The competition in the Egyptian League this season is better than previous seasons, in which the competition was always limited to only Al-Ahly and Zamalek or Al-Ahly and Pyramids,” continuing: “But this season, there is a Cleopatra Ceramica team in strong competition, and there is a four-way competition for the league title.”
He added: “Zamalek this season, despite the circumstances it is going through, is presenting a different level in its continuation of the competition, unlike recent seasons in which the competition was limited to Al-Ahly and Pyramids.”
Drogba believed that the Al-Masry Club of Port Said and Wadi Degla are performing at great levels this season and deserve to be among the top seven in the title competition.
