Al-Saeed: The building violations reconciliation law did not achieve legislative stability

She added that the House of Representatives had previously made amendments to the law during its discussion to avoid expected problems in implementation, but some of these observations were not taken into account, which led to the continuation of problems during implementation.

The representative pointed out that the numbers announced by some official authorities regarding the reconciliation file do not fully reflect what is happening on the ground, stressing that many citizens are still facing difficulties in completing the procedures for legalizing their status.

Al-Saeed stressed that the reconciliation law was aimed at addressing building violations accumulated over the past years, stressing that it is not currently permitted to commit new violations, in light of the presence of a spatial variables system that tracks any encroachments or urban changes immediately.

She added that any new violation currently monitored will be dealt with directly through the competent authorities, stressing that the state seeks to prevent the recurrence of the phenomenon of illegal construction in the future.
