Residents of the village of Damushia in Beni Suef Governorate found the bodies of two sister girls next to one of the canals in the village district, in an incident that sparked a state of sadness among the people.
It turned out that the bodies of the two girls were Maryam Safwat (12 years old) and her sister Somaya Safwat (10 years old), who were found dumped next to the canal.
The security services in the Beni Suef Security Directorate received notification of the incident, and a police force moved to the site of the report to conduct the necessary examination and inspection.
The two bodies were transferred to the hospital at the disposal of the investigating authorities, while the necessary legal measures were taken, and the competent authorities began an investigation to uncover the circumstances and causes of the incident.
