The sixth and final round of the group stage of the third group of the African Champions League ended a short while ago, where they met Mamelodi Sundowns And Mouloudia of Algeria, while Al-Hilal of Sudan played with Saint Lubibo of Congo.
Sun Downs qualifies for the quarter-finals of the African Champions League, runner-up behind Sudanese club Al-Hilal
Mamelodi Sundowns joined its Sudanese counterpart, Al Hilal, and together they qualified for the quarter-finals of the 2026 CAF Champions League, where Al Hilal qualified in first place, and Sun Downs runner-up.
In the match that was held in Rwanda, Sudanese Al Hilal achieved an important victory over Congolese Eloy Lubibo with a score of 1-0, scored by Steve Ebola in the 26th minute of the match.
On the other hand, Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa became a potential candidate to face Al-Ahly, as it achieved a victory at home and among its fans against Mouloudia Algiers, with a score of 2-0, with player Brian Muniz scoring the two goals of the match in the 6th and 63rd minutes.
With these results, the third group standings in the CAF Champions League groups are as follows:
- Sudanese Crescent – 11 points.
- Mamelodi Sundowns, South Africa – 9 points.
- Mouloudia Algeria – 7 points.
- Saint-Eloi Lobibo, Democratic Republic of the Congo – 5 points.
