Star Amr Saad is preparing to embark on a new artistic experience through the series Efraj, which is based on real events and is scheduled to be shown during the Ramadan 2026 season on MBC Egypt.

Private sources revealed to Cairo 24 that the series deals with one of the most dangerous and famous criminal cases that aroused public opinion, and was inspired by a tragic incident that occurred in the village of Zawiyat Beltan in the Toukh Center in Qalyubia Governorate at the end of 2024.
The source pointed out that the series “Ifraj” presents the story of a man who committed a horrific family crime, as he killed his wife and children before setting fire to the house, which led to the death of his mother and brother, in a shocking incident that revealed deep psychological and social complexities within the Egyptian family.
The story of the Evraaj series
The dramatic events indicate that the crime arose as a result of accumulated family disputes and escalating tension within the home, until it culminated in a human tragedy that began with the slaughter of the wife and children and then extended by setting fire to the rest of the family members, in a scene that reflects the extent of the psychological collapse that the perpetrator has reached.

The series includes an elite group of stars, including: Amr Saad, Abdel Aziz Makhyoun, Sama Ibrahim, Tara Emad, Hatem Salah, Alaa Morsi, Sarah Baraka, Sherif El-Desouki, Safwa, Basant Shawky, Jihad Hossam El-Din, Ahmed Abdel Hamid, Donia Maher, Reda Idris, and Omar El-Saeed.
The series is written by Ahmed Halba, Muhammad Fawzi, and Ahmed Bakr, produced by Sadiq Al-Sabah, and directed by Ahmed Khaled Moussa.
