Information and investigations from the public security sectors, combating drugs and unlicensed weapons and ammunition, in coordination with the relevant ministry agencies, confirmed the presence of criminal hotspots within the Alexandria Governorate, which included highly dangerous criminal elements, quantities of narcotic substances in preparation for their trafficking, and the possession of unlicensed firearms.
After the legalization of the procedures, they were targeted and were seized, with more than 1.4 tons of various narcotic substances, including “hashish, heroin, opium, and ice,” a shotgun, and a drumstick.
The financial value of the seized narcotics is estimated at more than 113 million pounds, and legal measures have been taken.
