
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that its air defense systems succeeded in intercepting and destroying 201 Ukrainian drones over a number of Russian regions since Sunday evening.
The Ministry explained in a statement today, Monday, that the Air Defense Forces shot down 130 drones during the period from 23:00 on Sunday evening until 7:00 on Monday morning.
She added that most of these drones were destroyed over the Astrakhan provinces, with 38 aircraft, and Bryansk, with 25 aircraft, in addition to the Moscow region, where 25 drones were shot down, 15 of which were heading towards the Russian capital.
This comes after a previous announcement by the Russian Ministry of Defense that 71 more Ukrainian drones were shot down between 20:00 and 23:00 on Sunday evening, most of them over Rostov Oblast, where 52 drones were destroyed.
