The Ministry of Endowments continued its efforts in reconstructing the houses of God, as Sohag Governorate witnessed the opening of 3 new mosques after the completion of replacement and renovation works, as part of the Ministry’s integrated plan to develop mosques and raise their efficiency in a manner befitting their religious and societal mission.

Opening of mosques in Sohag

The mosques that were opened were the Naga Abu Zeid Mosque in the village of Kom al-Arab in the Tama Center, and the Abd al-Rahman Mosque in the village of Nag al-Deir in the Dar al-Salam Center, in addition to the Al-Iman Mosque in Naga Abd al-Rahim on the Shandawil Island in the Sohag Center.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments indicated that the opening of these mosques comes within the strategy of the Ministry of Endowments aimed at rebuilding the Houses of God financially and intellectually, and preparing them to perform their preaching and educational role, in a way that enhances the dissemination of moral and moderate values ​​and contributes to building a cohesive society.
