The executive agencies in the center and city of Esna in Luxor Governorate carried out a campaign to remove 45 cases of encroachment on state-owned lands in the village of Thomas and Afia, as part of the work of the 28th wave to remove encroachments and restore the state’s rights.

Details of the campaign and violations

The efforts of the local unit resulted in the removal of the encroachments, which consisted of walls and rooms built of white brick.

The removal decisions issued were implemented immediately in coordination with the Esna Police Station to ensure the progress of work, using the local unit’s equipment, and taking the necessary legal measures against violators.

Leaders supervising implementation

The campaign came in implementation of the directives of Luxor Governor, Engineer Abdel Muttalib Amara, and the instructions of the head of the Esna Center and City, Brigadier General Ahmed Al-Hawari.

The removal witnessed the presence of Abdel Rahim Taye, Vice President of the Center, Adel Abdel Hamid, President of Thomas and Afia Village, and representatives of the concerned authorities to ensure the full implementation of the removal decisions.

Efforts to recover state lands continue

The head of the center and city of Esna, for his part, stressed the continuation of periodic follow-up and implementation of removal campaigns in various villages affiliated with the center, stressing the importance of enforcing the law and dealing decisively with any new attempts to encroach on state-owned lands, to ensure their preservation and deter violators.

This step is considered part of the state’s plan, which depends on activating decisions to remove encroachments and preserve state property in the Esna Center and all the cities of Luxor Governorate, in completion of the goals of Wave 28.
