A number of Facebook users shared a video showing that someone set fire to a cemetery in the Edfu center, north of Aswan Governorate.
An official source revealed that the truth of the published video is that one of the residents built this cemetery, and during the month of Ramadan, iron fell from the roof of the cemetery, so its roof was covered with wickerwork to cover the sanctity of the dead.

He added that by examining the circulating video, investigations revealed that one of the residents was cleaning a place adjacent to the aforementioned grave, collected garbage, and set fire to it. It spread to the cemetery and caught fire in the wickerwork covering it, but the fire did not reach the bodies of the dead.
He added that the families of the deceased were summoned and assured that the bodies had not been destroyed by fire. A report was drawn up regarding the incident, and the investigating authorities were notified to begin their investigations into it.
