Real Madrid announced that Spanish midfielder Dani Ceballos suffered a severe injury during his short appearance against Osasuna in the twenty-fifth round of the Spanish League.

Ceballos participated as a substitute in the 82nd minute, that is, for more than 10 minutes only, before suffering a muscle tear in his right leg, according to the club’s official statement.

Real Madrid did not specify the exact duration of the player’s absence, but the Spanish newspaper “Cope” reported that Ceballos will be away from the field for a period of no less than seven weeks.

The Osasuna match witnessed Real Madrid’s defeat at home by two goals to one, which made its loss coincide with Ceballos being injured, making the team’s suffering increase in this crucial stage of the league.
