Amir Mortada Mansour, the former supervisor of the football sector at Zamalek Club, revealed his position on returning to work inside the White Castle during the next stage, touching on the nature of his relationship with Ayman Mamdouh Abbas, and directing sharp criticism at the current administration.
Criticism of Hussein Labib’s administration
During television statements on Al-Nahar channel, Amir Mortada confirmed that the actual president of Zamalek Club is Mamdouh Abbas, pointing out that the promises made by Hussein Labib in his election program were not fulfilled on the ground, adding that talking is easy but implementation is the real deciding factor in evaluating any board of directors.
He explained that he had previously spoken two years ago about the difference between his father Mortada Mansour’s council and the current council, considering that the picture has become clear to everyone at the present time, although he did not wish things to go this way, stressing that the goal in the end is the interest of Zamalek and not settling scores.
There is no objection to returning.. “Under Zamalek’s command.”
Regarding the possibility of his return to the position of sports director, Amir Mortada stressed that he does not mind serving the club in any role asked of him, saying that he is ready to do anything that benefits Zamalek, as long as he achieves a real addition.
He also made it clear that he does not intend to run in the upcoming elections, but that he will be at the disposal of the club, its fans, and the General Assembly if he is asked to be present in any location.
Complete denial of cooperation with Ayman Mamdouh Abbas
Regarding what was reported about his return to cooperation with Ayman Mamdouh Abbas, he denied the matter completely, stressing that he did not have any working sessions with him, and that the only meeting between them was a coincidence.
Registration file and championships
Amir Mortada touched on the file of suspension of registration, explaining that the period of Mortada Mansour’s council did not witness any suspension of registration. On the contrary, the suspension was lifted during one of the periods and new deals were contracted, which contributed to the crowning of the league and cup championships.
